The CD recording of Brahms’s symphonies No. 3 and 4 with the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra under the baton of Thomas Hengelbrock was awarded the OPUS KLASSIK for “Bestseller of the year”.
Critics already acclaimed the “deeply touching” first recording from the Elbphilharmonie; now an independent panel of experts has honoured it as well. As successor to the ECHO award, the newly-founded OPUS KLASSIK distinguishes outstanding artists and recordings in the area of classical music.
The awards ceremony will be held on 14th October in Berlin.
